I was shock last Wednesday (3/7) to hear GA-200 careened off runway in Yogya's airport. On Friday (3/2) I just came back from Yogya with Garuda.
After rail trip to Cirebon and Purwokerto, I decided to choose the national airlines, Garuda, than budget carrier, which sprung in the country in recent years. I thought Garuda was safe. I thought the runway in Adisucipto Airport was longer than the aiport in Semarang ( I refused to go home from Semarang with other colleagues) that it guarantees safety.
It was proven wrong...
On the 1 January 2007, the day Adam air Jakarta-Manado was reported missing, I also took Adam Air on my way to Lampung. Both were morning flight.
When I thought it was safe....it wasn't. It doesn't take a great leap to imagine myself on the plane.
